Omar Portigliatti, Italian native, I was first introduced to the jewelry industry in 1995 when I attended Lycee Paster Nice (school for jewelers) on the southern coast of France.  I continued furthering my education by joining the shop of renowned jewelers of Grosso & Besson as an apprentice.  I spent the next two years learning the trade hands-on. I was fortunate enough to contribute to several projects including the “Gold Palm” award creation commissioned by the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2000, I made a move for the United States where I continued my passion for creating and designing jewelry by joining A & C Diamonds and Design.  I was hired as a jeweler and during the following years had the opportunity to work with exquisite designer pieces by world-renowned designers such as Scott Kay, Verragio, Ritani, and the flawless Gabi diamonds.  In 2004, feeling confident in my abilities, I decided that it was time for more. I then joined Kenneth Brown in his dream to open a new store where I would further my knowledge as a jeweler.  After several years of hard work and sacrifice, I became head Designer and Head Jeweler at The Jewelers Bench. With my Designs and Creations I expose the business to local celebrities such as Mandy Starling (Host of CW Network),  My work has been featured and recognized by SOUTH MAGAZINE where I contributed a one of a kind creation for their cover. I was then recognized in a South Magazine article named "Fine Jewelry Making". I also had the honor to help with a fundraiser by creating a commissioned pendant for The American Cancer Society (Savannah branch) and The Rape Crisis Center. I strongly believe that giving back to the community is a duty for every artist. in 2016 I pursued my dream to further my career in design and joined Brilliant Erath. The company mission and the ambition to become a leader in design were exactly what I looked for. With my design leadership in 2017, we secured the best ring design award from the nationwide jewelers' choice award (JCK contest). Is ant it will always be my goal to pursue the highest grade of Jewelry Design possible and by doing what I love I hope to continue creating timeless pieces for people to enjoy through generations.
